LaShaya Darisaw is an American community organizer, political strategist, and environmental justice advocate based in Flint, Michigan. Darisaw earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Michigan–Flint.[2] She has stated publicly that she holds multiple collegiate degrees in fields including public policy, political science, and business administration.[3]

Community organizing and advocacy
Darisaw served as the Flint Organizing Director for Michigan United, a statewide grassroots group affiliated with People’s Action.[4] Her work included community engagement, political organizing, and environmental justice advocacy.
She became active in community response to the Flint water crisis, speaking publicly about environmental racism, public health harm, and long-term inequities facing Flint residents.[5]
