John Deveney is an American public relations and marketing executive. He is the founder and president of DEVENEY, a New Orleans-based marketing and communications agency with offices in South Florida.[1] He was inducted into the PR News Hall of Fame in 2011 for his work in crisis communications.[2]
Career
Deveney founded DEVENEY in 1996. The agency provides communications services to clients in healthcare, tourism, hospitality, and public-sector communications.[3]
He has been cited by PR News and PRWeek for crisis communications expertise, including coordinating public messaging and media strategy in response to major Gulf Coast events such as the BP oil spill.[4]
In 2016, DEVENEY rebranded as an “engagement agency,” reflecting a shift toward research-based communications and integrated marketing strategies.[5]
